Driven by a deep passion for social and community involvement, Me Claude Junior Charles

Firmly believing that the law is a powerful tool for justice and integration, he actively contributes

to various organizations and initiatives aimed at supporting individuals in their endeavors,

encouraging civic participation, and promoting social cohesion. This calling is reflected both

in his community involvement and in his legal practice, where listening, empathy, and respect

for human dignity are fundamental values.

Claude Junior Charles holds a temporary restricted permit from the Quebec Bar,

allowing him to practice immigration law. His career is distinguished by unwavering rigor,

great versatility, and a profound commitment to justice and human dignity.

He has also been a duly registered lawyer with the Port-au-Prince Bar

since June 27, 2018, having been sworn in on May 3, 2017.

 

His academic background reflects a sustained desire for improvement and excellence.

He holds a bachelor's degree in law from the State University of Haiti, a master's degree

in business law from Laval University, and is currently pursuing a postgraduate diploma

in Canadian and Quebec immigration regulations, an essential specialization for providing precise,

up-to-date legal support that complies with current legal requirements.

 

Winner of the Port-au-Prince Bar Association's Moot Court Competition (6th edition), held at the Court of Cassation, Mr. Charles demonstrated from the outset of his career a remarkable mastery of legal argumentation and an ability to defend his clients' interests with conviction. Before practicing in Quebec, he held key positions within major Haitian institutions, notably as Clerk, Secretary of the Board, and Auditor (Prosecutor) at the Superior Court of Accounts and Administrative Disputes (CSCCA), where he managed cases, drafted judgments, analyzed legislative compliance, and monitored administrative decisions, thus contributing to institutional governance. He also worked as a legal assistant for the JSSP/USAID project administered by the Port-au-Prince Bar Association, providing legal consultations, conflict resolution, assistance to detainees, and training. These experiences demonstrate an ability to thrive in demanding environments, handle complex cases, and deliver structured, effective, and tailored legal solutions.

 

A dynamic, methodical, and deeply attentive professional, Mr. Charles establishes a relationship of trust based on active listening, professional transparency, legal rigor, and solutions tailored to each client's specific circumstances. His approach is compassionate, respectful, and reassuring, particularly in sensitive matters such as immigration, family disputes, or situations of vulnerability. Alongside his legal practice, he is recognized for his social and institutional involvement, notably as President of the Haitian Association of Quebec, a mentor at SOIT for the integration of newcomers, President of the Jury for the 2025 Women's Awards, as well as through various university mandates at Université Laval and his activities in training, mediation, legal assistance, and community support. This commitment reflects a profound desire to support inclusion, diversity, and integration—values he naturally incorporates into his legal practice.
